Description:
Gold Edge is a biodegradable solvent cleaner with no VOC’s, no pungent odors and is water rinseable. A potent, yet mild formulation, Gold Edge is non-flammable, non-corrosive and will not harm common metals. Effectively dissolves and removes asphalt, mastics, grease, pipe dope, heavy hydrocarbons and other hard to remove compounds from most surfaces. Provides a safer and more environmentally sustainable alternative to the use of hazardous petroleum-based solvents and citrus cleaners.
Technical Data:
Gold Edge is a blend of naturally occurring, organic esters and surfactants. The long-chain carboxylic acids and alcohols of low volatility esters serve as softening agents for resins, polymers and asphaltenes.
Surfactants used are non-ionic and non-toxic as a result of the manufacturing process. With agitation, surface tension is released, allowing for the encapsulation, suspension and emulsification of long hydrocarbon chains. The viscosity of heavy hydrocarbon sludge is greatly reduced, permitting removal by use of pumps. As a result of the encapsulation process, reduction of VOC’s and LEL’s is achieved. After removal, surfaces can be rinsed with water if desired without need for a separate detergent rinse. Gold Edge remains with the oil (free of water) allowing the mixture to be reintroduced as an oil commodity.
Case Study:
200ft diameter crude oil tank containing very thick, foamy crude bottoms could not be pumped out even after adding significant amounts of diesel fuel as cutter stock. Only the added diesel was pumped back out. 5,000 gallons of Gold Edge was added to the tank and circulated (mechanical advantage) using the existing tanks 2” orifices surrounding the base of the tank. After three days (resonance time), 80,000 gallons of liquified crude was pumped out of the tank. The by-product was then sold as a viable oil for refining.
Conclusion:
Gold Edge is non-hazardous, non-flammable, non-toxic, non-corrosive. Safe to handle. Virtually no VOC’s or organic chlorides. Accelerates biological degradation of heavy hydrocarbons.

Polymer/Paraffins Removal
Gold Edge (GE), Gold Edge X40 (X40)
GE is a non-petroleum based solvent that is non-toxic, flash point above 400f degrees PMCC and will dissolve asphalt at ambient temperature. X40 is GE with select additives allowing X40 to break down and dissolve paraffin based hydrocarbons and many polymer/plasticizer materials. According to the scope of work, a protocol can be prepared whereby the products are used separately or together as a system.
Gas Suppression
Nature’s Edge products inhibit release of VOC’s from petroleum hydrocarbons, effectively lowering LEL’s and reducing risk for fires or explosions associated with spill clean-up and tank/equipment clearing/cleaning operations. Nature’s Edge incorporates cutting edge encapsulation technology to provide superior results with less agitation than similar products. Additionally, “oil-consuming” microbes are added during manufacture to reduce or eliminate hazardous components in waste discharge, lowering disposal costs and liabilities. Also available without added microbes.

Reduces time for clearing/cleaning filter pots, caustic scrubbers, flare stack blow down tanks, acid tanks, etc. by up to 80%.
